Wow, thanks Thad for posting this!
On shorelines of statewide significance (which one of these is not like the other)
Which one of these just isn't the same? Five actual shorelines of statewide significance and one proposed from here (pdf).
Thank you Emmett for bringing our attention to the meaning of the word "Shoreline" in this great visual journey!

Olympia rethinks City Hall bronze 'bubble' art
Olympia City Manager Steve Hall recommends not going forward with proposed bronze sculptures for the new City Hall.
OLYMPIA, Wash. —Olympia City Manager Steve Hall recommends not going forward with proposed bronze sculptures for the new City Hall.
The bubble shapes were supposed to depict speaking - as words appear in a comic strip.
Hall told The Olympian the bubbles are not connecting with the public. Residents have panned the $180,000 project proposed by Seattle artist Dan Webb. One wrote the design makes it appear the new City Hall is being attacked by tadpoles. Others called it cartoonish and said it didn't represent the state capital or the Northwest.
Hall is asking the city council to redo the public art proposal for the new $36 million City Hall. The council could make a decision at Tuesday's meeting.

I think I really like it and hope the council can make the right decision, despite the fact that it's election year and their credibility of being able to listen to the public is greatly tarnished because of isthmus-gate. Those bubbles are great and can be a sign that leads Olympia into the future!
